Support
How can we help?
M102 Astro is run by one person in Chicago, so support goes straight to a human. Email is the fastest route for anything to do with ATLAS, the imaging database, the store, or the podcast.
I found a bug in ATLAS.
Email us, or use the feedback form inside the app (profile menu, then Rate ATLAS). Both land in the same place. Helpful details:
- Device and OS version
- The app version, shown at the bottom of the profile menu
- What you expected, and what happened instead
The app is not showing a change I know shipped.
If you added ATLAS to your home screen, it caches the app and keeps serving the older version until you accept the update prompt. Open
atlas.m102astro.com in your browser directly to confirm, then relaunch from the home screen and accept the refresh when it appears.
Do I need an account?
No. Every feature works signed out. Signing in with Google, GitHub, or Apple only saves your location, equipment, and preferences so they follow you between devices.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Open the profile menu in ATLAS and choose to delete your account. That removes your profile, saved location, equipment profiles, feedback, and session data. If you would rather we do it, email
admin@m102astro.com from the address on the account.
Does ATLAS cost anything?
No. ATLAS is free, with no subscription, no in app purchases, and no ads.
Where does the data come from?
Star positions come from the HYG Database v3.8, deep sky objects from OpenNGC, solar system positions and twilight from astronomy-engine, weather from Open-Meteo (NOAA GFS, DWD ICON, and ECMWF), and place names from OpenStreetMap and Nominatim. Full attribution is in the About panel inside the app.
